OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. — LifeSouth Community Blood Centers has opened a new donor center in Owens Cross Roads, giving residents more opportunities to help local patients in need of blood.
The center is located in the Hampton Cove Shopping Center next to Dollar Tree at 324 Sutton Road SE. LifeSouth, which serves the Huntsville Hospital System, is encouraging the community to donate during the following hours: Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
“We are excited to open the new donor center, in addition to having our red, white and blue bloodmobile out and about every day,” said Kelley McPhail, LifeSouth District Director. “It is an honor to serve the patients and donors in North Alabama.
