Alabama’s first workforce housing project breaks ground in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — A new housing development in Limestone County broke ground Friday, becoming the first in Alabama to utilize the state’s Workforce Housing Tax Credit.

The Grove at South Jefferson will be located between Tanner and Athens once completed. The development is designed to help younger families as job growth continues to drive up housing prices in booming areas like Limestone County.
