GoFundMe launched to help cover end-of-life expenses for Huntsville musician Microwave Dave

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover end-of-life expenses for legendary Huntsville musician Dave Gallaher, better known as Microwave Dave, who died earlier this month.

The fundraiser was organized by Rick Godfrey, bassist in Gallaher’s band, Microwave Dave and the Nukes. Godfrey said Gallaher did not leave money to cover his final expenses.

“Dave was generous to others, playing for benefits, playing for people who were seriously ill/dying, giving money to people who were experiencing financial hardships, giving to his church and local non-profit groups, and feeding feral cats in his neighborhood. He talked to people who reached out to him with their sorrows, fears, and joys. He prayed daily for those in need,” the GoFundMe campaign states…
