ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) — The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says three people were arrested last week on marijuana and other charges after a search at a home in Athens.
LCSO said that on Feb. 19, the county narcotics unit executed a search warrant at a home in Athens.

Authorities said during that search, they found marijuana, multiple firearms and a handgun conversion device that’s commonly called a “Glock switch.” The device is designed to convert a semi-automatic pistol into a fully automatic weapon and is illegal to own under Alabama Law.
LCSO said three people were arrested and charged in connection with the search:
- Vic Deomone Houston, 66, of Athens — charged with Illegal Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Degree,
- Rhonda Kay Smith, 48, of Athens — charged with Illegal Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Degree, and Possession of a Pistol by an Addict.
- Tevarus Dwight Smith, 18, of Athens — charged with Illegal Possession of Marijuana, 1st Degree, and Possession, Sale, or Use of Parts Designed or Intended to Convert a Pistol into a Machine Gun.
