MADISON COUNTY, Ala. — Two separate incidents at Monrovia Middle School last week were investigated by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and school administrators. Officials say there is no ongoing danger to students or staff.
The sheriff’s office worked with school administrators, and School Resource Officers quickly identified the student involved. Authorities found a note and a single small-caliber round of ammunition, but no firearm was located on campus. The sheriff’s office says the note and the bullet were not part of the same incident and happened a week apart. There was no lockdown, and students and staff were never in danger.
