HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In the vacuum of space, no one can hear you scream — but on social media, the shouts of terror are loud and clear.
The U.S. Space & Rocket Center recently unveiled its brand-new mascot duo, and while the museum was hoping for “stellar,” the internet went straight to “interstellar horror.” Instead of firing back at critics, however, the museum has decided to lean into the chaos with a hilarious new video poking fun at their own creations.
“Terra and Fying”
In a video posted to the center’s social media channels, staff members are seen reading actual comments from the public in a style reminiscent of Jimmy Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets.” The reactions range from witty wordplay to genuine concern for their well-being.
Some of the highlights include:
- “How about Terra and Fying?”
- “They look like my sleep paralysis demon.”
- “Nightmare and Abomination.”
- “Based on the options, I’m voting for NaNope and NoThankYou.”
The video culminates in a new (and very unofficial) motto for the center: “At the Space & Rocket Center, no one can hear you scream.”…
