HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — U.S. Space Command is rolling out substantial relocation and retention bonuses to encourage civilian employees to move from its longstanding Colorado Springs headquarters to its future permanent home at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.
According to reports, the incentives, described by officials as “significant,” are aimed at softening the impact of the cross-country transition and retaining experienced personnel as the command continues its three-year relocation process. Bonuses will be coupled with traditional relocation cost coverage and staged payments over several years.
These incentives are aiming to move approximately 1,400 jobs to Alabama.
