HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A 48 FIRST ALERT DAY for Sunday and Monday for damaging winds, strong thunderstorms, heavy rain and a big drop in temperature.

For today, cloudy, windy and warm. A Wind Advisory from 1 PM this afternoon through 7 AM Monday for wind gusts as high as 45 to 50 mph. Strong winds will be stronger when thunderstorms impact the area overnight and could exceed 60 MPH. Temperatures today in the mid-70s with increasing humidity. Tonight, strong thunderstorms between 9 PM and 4 AM. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall likely with a chance for a tornado or two. Much colder by morning after the storms with lows in the 30s.
