MADISON COUNTY, Ala. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic safety enforcement operation Thursday, resulting in multiple arrests and citations across high-traffic areas. Officials say the effort focused on reducing dangerous driving and improving roadway safety.
The operation took place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and led to the following:
- 5 arrests
- 6 vehicles impounded
- 25 citations issued, including for speeding, reckless driving, and DUI
- 11 warnings given
Authorities say one of the highest speeds recorded during the operation involved a driver who was also arrested for DUI, highlighting what they call a dangerous combination on the road.
