‘It looks like a nightmare’: Huntsville apartment condemned amid sewage backup complaints

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Residents at Bridge Pointe Apartments in Huntsville say they have been living with sewage backups, broken appliances and non-functioning bathrooms for months, with little response from management. The conditions came to a head on Friday, as city code enforcement condemned a unit, declaring it unfit for habitation.

Bobby Bonaparte, a tenant in Building 400, pays roughly $1,300 a month in rent. He says the problems began just one week after he moved in and have grown steadily worse.
