Thrive Alabama receives funding to expand HIV prevention efforts in underserved communities

Thrive Alabama has been selected to receive funding through the Gilead Foundation as part of a nationwide initiative aimed at expanding HIV prevention and community health services.

The funding comes through the Gilead Foundation’s Community Health Worker Comprehensive HIV Prevention Initiative, a $12 million investment supporting community-based organizations across 14 states and Washington, D.C.

Through the program, Thrive Alabama plans to expand access to HIV and hepatitis C testing, cardiovascular screenings, and prevention education, particularly in public housing and low-income communities…
