SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) – Dozens gathered on Saturday to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the arrest of the Scottsboro Boys.
This week marks 95 years since the Scottsboro Boys were arrested. In March 1931, nine Black teenagers were arrested in Paint Rock, Alabama, after being accused of raping two white women on a train. An all-white jury quickly convicted them.
The Scottsboro Boys ultimately spent a combined 102 years in prison for a crime that never happened…
