HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A new psychiatric urgent care is open in Huntsville, giving patients the opportunity to receive same-day care for any mental health struggles.
The clinic, located off Longwood Drive, operates similarly to a physical health urgent care, allowing walk-in appointments and same-day results.

Licensed psychiatrists in the facility can prescribe medications if necessary or connect patients to other resources in town for additional services.
“They’re able to come in, get a full evaluation, get started on medication if appropriate, or also be able to bridge that gap with finding them the appropriate care they need,” Psychiatric Urgent Care of Huntsville Co-Founder and Psychiatrist Priya Patel said. “Or if they need counseling, we’re able to connect them with those resources.”…
