DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A man has filed a lawsuit against the City of Decatur and two police officers following an arrest in April 2024.
According to court documents, a Morgan County resident, Derrick Taylor, is suing the City and two officers, retired Lt. Joe Renshaw and another officer who was involved in the arrests.
At one of the City’s “Third Friday” events, a small group of people had assembled wearing shirts that said “Justice for Steve Perkins,” in support of the man who was shot and killed by Decatur Police officers in September of 2023…
