HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Drivers in downtown Huntsville should expect road closures and traffic changes this week as the city prepares for the Panoply Arts Festival at Big Spring Park.
The Huntsville Police Department says closures began Monday, April 20, and will remain in place through Monday, April 27, to allow for festival setup, operations and cleanup.
Several roads in the downtown area are impacted:
- Church Street is closed between Clinton Avenue and Williams Avenue.
- Williams Avenue westbound lanes are closed between Clinton Avenue and Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.
- Monroe Street northbound lanes on the east side of the Von Braun Center are reduced to one lane.
Officials say all roads are expected to reopen and return to normal traffic flow by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 27, once barricades and fencing are removed…
