As travelers approach Huntsville International Airport these days, they can’t help but notice the construction work.
A $59 million project to add more than 1,400 parking spaces to the existing parking deck at the airport — named the 2025 Newsweek Readers’ Choice No. 1 Best Small Airport in 2024 and 2025 — is underway. The expanded deck will increase total deck parking to more than 5,400 spaces. The entry plaza will be reconfigured into two separate plazas, one for deck parking and one for surface parking.
