Starting Monday, an ALDOT contractor plans to begin improvements to U.S. 31 at Lacon in Morgan County and require the diversion of traffic to Interstate 65.
The contractor, Wiregrass Construction, plans to begin work Monday, weather permitting. A subcontractor will begin installing project signs this week.
