The Rev. Taylor Johnson, a former Baptist minister newly ordained as an Episcopal priest by Bishop Glenda Curry on April 15, has taken over preaching duties at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Madison.
A classically trained singer who studied music at East Texas Baptist University, Johnson is serving as priest-in-charge at St. Matthew’s.
Johnson earned his master’s degree in music theory from Texas Tech University and master of divinity degree in Christian ethics from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta.
