Nashville woman arrested on drug charges after stop in Hartselle

HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Hartselle Police Department says a Nashville woman was arrested after officers found drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 65.

HPD said at around 2:14 a.m. Friday, officers stopped a vehicle driven by Conesha Annette Whitley, 38, of Nashville, for traffic violations.

Authorities said that Whitley showed signs of impairment, and officers detected the odor of marijuana and alcohol. The department said that, during the stop, a gun and illegal narcotics were also found in the vehicle.

Whitley was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana 2nd, and illegal possession of prescription drugs…
