Testimony continues in week two of Morgan County murder-for-hire trial

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Testimony continued on Monday in the trial for a woman accused of hiring someone to kill her child’s father on the morning of a custody hearing.

Testimony in the capital murder trial of Jaclyn Skuce began Tuesday, with jurors hearing from investigators, forensic experts, and alleged accomplices about the 2020 killing of Larry Sheppard.

According to the state, Sheppard was shot multiple times at his Hartselle home on July 24, 2020. Prosecutors allege Skuce offered to pay a man named Logan Delp up to $30,000 to carry out the killing…
