Marshall County quarry proposal sparks community pushback

Concerns continue to grow in a Marshall County community over a proposed rock quarry.

State documents from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management show the company, Reed Materials, LLC, applied for permits to build and operate a quarry on Warrenton Road but remains in the state’s permitting process.

For people who live near and in Red Hill, the concerns are only growing.
