Rain-slicked roads in the Tennessee Valley lead to multiple crashes and injuries

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Rain-slicked roads made for a difficult drive during the morning and evening commutes across the Tennessee Valley, with first responders called to numerous wrecks.

A car slammed into the divider at the southbound on-ramp of North Memorial Parkway near University Drive Wednesday afternoon, with HEMSI and Huntsville Fire and Rescue providing care for at least one person.

About an hour later, another wreck happened in the same stretch of road, when a vehicle slid off the road and struck a power pole, knocking out power to nearby businesses.
