HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A summer event aimed at supporting local teachers and stocking classrooms with supplies returns to Big Spring Park on June 6.
The After School Bash, hosted by the Huntsville Police Department, Huntsville Parks & Recreation and Free 2 Teach, runs from 4-8 p.m. and features bounce houses, public safety demonstrations, food trucks and live music by Sipsey Falls.
People attending are asked to bring school supplies to help “Pack the Patrol Car.” The event has grown into a regular community gathering that brings families together while highlighting the importance of investing in education.
