Huntsville restaurant closes last location: ‘My heart is so heavy’

Before becoming a restauranteur, Tom Brown had already lived a few other lives.

As he put it in our 2020 interview, “A lot of everything. I had an air ambulance charter business back in California. Did real estate for over 20 years.” As a teenager, Brown worked in restaurants in Texas and later as an adult did so in Mississippi.

Now, after closing the second and final location of his self-titled Alabama restaurants — Tom Brown’s Restaurant in south Huntsville, following a 2024 closure of the original, Madison location – Brown is returning full-time to a past occupation…
