Enable Madison County volunteers come together to build wheelchair ramp for 7-year-old girl

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Volunteers with Enable Madison County recently came together to build a wheelchair ramp for a 7-year-old girl living with shaken baby syndrome in Madison County.

The new ramp will help to improve accessibility and daily mobility for the child and her family. What was once a difficult and physically demanding challenge for her family is now a safer, easier path in and out of their home.

“This project, in conjunction with many others, is a powerful example of what community support can accomplish,” said Zane Drost, Executive Director. Something as simple as a ramp can restore confidence, improve safety, and bring peace of mind to families who are already facing tremendous challenges.”
