Decatur, Huntsville among North Alabama cities ranked in U.S. News & World Report “Best Places to Live” list

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A new national ranking from U.S. News & World Report is highlighting where Alabama cities stand among the “Best Places to Live in the U.S. for 2026-2027,” with Hoover leading the state and several North and South Alabama communities also making the list.

The report evaluated 250 major U.S. cities based on value, quality of life, job market strength and overall desirability.
