Candy distributed to Indiana students in reused marijuana gummy bags

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Central Noble Community School Corporation issued an urgent announcement to families on Wednesday after an incident involving reused marijuana gummy bags.

According to the announcement posted on the school corporation’s Facebook page, administrators were made aware of a situation in which candy was passed out to students in bags labeled “for adults 21 and over.”

Upon investigation, the Corporation states that they believe the bags were reused and may not have contained marijuana. Once made aware of the situation, staff “confiscated as many bags as possible”.

The post warns that any Central Noble student returning home with a brown bag of candy should dispose of it immediately, and any child showing symptoms of intoxication should seek immediate medical attention…
