Docs: Police pursuit results in truck running into store sign on near east side, death of passenger

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man has been taken into custody after a police pursuit led to a fatal crash on the near east side of Indianapolis earlier this month.

According to court documents, Corion Foster was charged in Marion County with:

  • One count of resisting law enforcement, causing death or catastrophic injury, a Level 3 felony
  • One count of reckless homicide, a Level 5 felony
  • One count of operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license – resulting in death or catastrophic injury, a Level 5 felony

At around 12:30 a.m. on May 8, the court documents stated that an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department saw a pickup truck traveling at a high speed and ignoring multiple stop signs.

The court documents stated that the driver of the truck, who police allege was Foster, reportedly was driving at least 50-60 mph in a 25mph zone. The officer reportedly attempted to pull the truck over, leading Foster to turn off his headlights and go through a stop sign on East New York Street…
