Indianapolis Dollar General manager charged after allegedly stealing deposit worth more than $3,000

MARION, Ind. — A former Dollar General manager is accused of stealing a $3,068 deposit from the store where he worked on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

According to court documents, a Dollar General regional asset protection manager reported Joshua Lipscomp after the deposit pouch was stolen from a vehicle at the store in the 5400 block of Emerson Way, near East 56th Street and Binford Boulevard.

The protection manager said the deposit was written for April 24, 2026, but Lipscomb took the deposit on April 25, 2026. The protection manager said Lipscomb signed the deposit under someone else’s name and walked out with it…
