Indianapolis man to avoid jail time under plea agreement for threatening to shoot Marion County judge

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man has signed a plea agreement in which he is admitting to threatening to shoot a Marion County judge.

As part of the plea agreement, Jordan Williams will plead guilty to intimidation, with a charge of possession of cocaine being dismissed. The plea agreement says Williams would serve a three-year sentence on home detention, as well as two years on probation.

Court records say Williams made the threat while talking to his girlfriend on the phone Feb. 9 while she was an inmate at the Marion County Adult Detention Center. The woman was sentenced the next day to a year in prison for battery with injury to a public safety officer…
