Milktooth to return after restaurant ownership abandons ‘meat-and-three’ concept, name change

INDIANAPOLIS — Milktooth is making a comeback. In a post on Facebook, the restaurant’s ownership announced its plans to abandon a “meat-and-three” concept change and name transition.

In December, Milktooth’s ownership proclaimed the restaurant would be rebranded and named “Arlene’s.” In the announcement, Milktooth ownership indicated the restaurant would stop serving brunch as part of the rebrand.

The concept for “Arlene’s” was “meat-and-three,” a southern restaurant style that sees customers pay a set price for a meal that features a meat entree and three sides. When the changes were announced, Milktooth’s owner, Jonathan Brooks, said the “Arlene’s” moniker was tribute to his mother’s name…
