GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTTV/WLNS) — Michiganders driving through Indiana will soon have a new road trip stop as Buc-ee’s plans its first location in the Hoosier state.
The massively popular Texas-based travel center chain is targeting Greenwood for its first Indiana location, according to documents filed with the Greenwood Advisory Plan Commission. The location off of I-65 is about 270 miles away from Lansing, or about a four-hour drive.
Word of Buc-ee’s interest in Johnson County first surfaced in November via a report in the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Buc-ee’s has 55 travel centers in a dozen states. That includes a location in Huber Heights, Ohio, which opened in April and is about 260 miles away from Lansing. The second closest location is in Richmond, Kentucky, about 420 miles away…
