Local Residents Speak On Alleged Failure of PathWays for Aging Program

WARSAW – Local residents feel uncared for by the Indiana government with what they believe is the failing of the PathWays for Aging program.

Robert Schumacher is a longtime resident of Kosciusko County, as well as a veteran and quadriplegic. He, along with his best friend and roommate Jeanenne Wright, both rely on personal care service companies.

Personal care service companies and personal attendants provide daily living assistance, such as making meals, assisting with bathing, getting dressed, and other household assistance. Personal care attendants are for those who are elderly or have disabilities, such as Schumacher and Wright. Home health workers and home health companies, on the other hand, provide nursing services that someone may need in a short-term period to recover from an illness or injury…
