A Hancock County man was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to the four charges he was facing in a drunk driving crash that killed a woman in Wilkinson in July 2025.
Alexander Ray, 33, of Wilkinson, pleaded guilty to the following:
- Causing death when operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated
- Causing death when operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of .08 or more
- Reckless homicide
- Conversion
On Wednesday, July 1, a Hancock County judge sentenced Ray to five years in prison, two years of community corrections and four years of probation. Ray must also pay restitution.
