Docs: Kokomo couple charged with neglect afte 4-year-old overdoses on methadone

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Two Kokomo residents have been charged in Hamilton County after a 4-year-old was hospitalized due to a reported overdose on methadone.

According to court documents, 44-year-old Michael Long and 36-year-old Brittany Long were both charged with:

  • Two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury, each a Level 3 felony
  • One count of neglect of a dependent, a Level 6 felony

Officers with the Noblesville Police Department were called to a gas station in Noblesville on May 4 regarding a 4-year-old child overdosing on methadone, police said.
