The entirety of the White River could soon begin flowing into a quarry in southeast Carmel.
The recent floods that destroyed the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge over a creek near 106th Street also diverted the path of the creek, which reversed direction and is now pouring into the Martin Marietta quarry. That has caused quick erosion, and if the eroded area connects with the White River, the entire river will begin flowing into the quarry.
