On May 29, 2016, a crowd of 350,000-plus race fans from around the world packed the Indianapolis Motor Speedway grandstands and infield for the historic 100th running of the Indy 500.
Among the field of 33 drivers on that blistering hot afternoon was Bryan Clauson, a 27-year-old Noblesville resident who was on a singular mission: complete the race, something he hadn’t accomplished in two previous starts.
By the end of the afternoon, he exceeded expectations by not only finishing the race — and leading three laps — but still wasn’t done for the day…
