INDIANAPOLIS — The family of a 20-year-old man who was struck and killed by a driver while riding his bike to work in Indianapolis last month is now encouraging other cyclists to stay alert.
Police said Darrion Pate was riding his bike along Indiana Avenue on the morning of Aug. 31 when he was struck by a motorist.
The crash left Pate in critical condition. He was rushed to a hospital, but his family said he had no brain activity. They eventually made the painful decision to take him off life support…
