When Shane Arnold was critically injured in a motorcycle crash in rural Hendricks County in July, several local emergency agencies became part of a chain of care that ultimately helped save his life.
Arnold suffered severe injuries, including multiple traumatic limb injuries, a traumatic brain injury and a leg amputation. He survived in part because Hendricks County-area first responders were able to quickly control his bleeding and provide advanced emergency care before he reached the hospital.
