HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – A former Indiana Department of Correction employee reached a plea deal after being accused of falsifying time sheets.
According to the Indiana Office of the Inspector General, Jacob Kauth pleaded guilty to fraud as a misdemeanor. He’ll pay the state $3,163.90 in restitution, attend a theft class and complete 80 hours of community service. He’ll also serve a year on probation.
Two other counts, theft and official misconduct, were dismissed as part of the agreement reached with the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office.
