‘Don’t point it at me’: High school student arrested for allegedly injuring juvenile with bow and arrow at Greenwood park

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Police have arrested a man accused of shooting a bow at a park in Greenwood, resulting in a juvenile being struck by an arrow and requiring surgery.

According to court documents, 18-year-old Seth Vogel faces a Level 5 Felony for criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon.

On Aug. 31, officers with the Greenwood Police Department responded shortly after 9 p.m. to the 800 block of W. Stop 18 Road after dispatch advised that a juvenile female had sustained an injury from being struck by a bow.

Police responded to St. Francis and spoke with the victim, who informed them that Vogel had allegedly retrieved a bow from the bed of a nearby truck, court documents said. She said that she noticed the bow was pointed in her direction and that as Vogel was nocking the arrow, he reportedly fired it…
