Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam is urging voters to support an amendment to the state constitution that allows judges to deny bail to anyone they deem especially dangerous to society.
Finkam joined Republican State Rep. Danny Lopez and Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police President Rick Snyder at an Oct. 20 press conference in Carmel to publicly express support for the amendment, which will be on the Nov. 3 ballot as Public Question 1.
