2 people walk into Indianapolis hospital with gunshot wounds

INDIANAPOLIS — Two people walked into an Indianapolis hospital with gunshot wounds Saturday night.

According to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department media notification, officers responded to IU Methodist Hospital (250 W 16th St.) after receiving reports of a walk-in person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located two individuals with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims was in critical condition, and the other was in stable condition, per IMPD. Public police reporting systems indicate officers first responded to the hospital at approximately 8 p.m.

As of this article’s publication, IMPD had not released any additional information about the incident. It unknown where the shooting first unfolded.
