INDIANAPOLIS – Police arrested two people following a pursuit early Monday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident started around 2:15 a.m. as a traffic stop near East 30 th Street and North Arlington Avenue. Police suspected a van and the trailer it was towing had been stolen.
The driver took off, leading police on a chase. According to the IMPD incident report, the vehicle “committed reckless driving” and refused to pull over.
The vehicle finally stopped near 46 th Street and Park Forest Court, the report said.
Both occupants of the van tried to run off, but officers caught them in the 4500 block of Jamestown Court.
IMPD took two people into custody on preliminary charges ranging from resisting law enforcement to criminal recklessness, according to the report.
The case remains under investigation.
