Good luck convincing small school corporations to change

I enjoyed reading Michael Hicks’ column advocating another wave of school consolidations in Indiana. He made many valid and thought out points. Unfortunately whenever I read anything about public education in Indiana, two iconic lines from the iconic 1982 Pink Floyd movie “The Wall” pop into my head: “We don’t need no education/We don’t need no thought control”

Good luck convincing members of small school corporations serving student populations of fewer than 2,000 students that they are shortchanging their students.

I suspect many of them consider themselves modern day “Horatios at the Bridge” protecting their charges from the Woke Hordes.

Reread that second line!
