INDIANAPOLIS — A Fountain Square man is fighting for his life after being brutally beaten with a two-by-four while letting out his dogs early in the morning.
A report by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reveals that Joshua Burton was outside his apartment building in the 900 block of Prospect Street in Fountain Square when he was attacked shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Christina Burton, Joshua’s wife, said her husband was letting out their dogs when his assailant jumped him with a two-by-four, beating Joshua within an inch of his life.
Five days later, Joshua remains in the ICU in critical condition. He has already undergone two brain surgeries to relieve swelling and bleeding, Christina said.
