Driver in custody after low-speed, multi-county chase on I-65

INDIANAPOLIS – Police took a driver into custody following a multi-county chase on I-65.

According to Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess, the pursuit started in Bartholomew County Wednesday night. It proceeded north on I-65 through Johnson County before coming to an end just north of the county line in Marion County.

Burgess said the pursuit was primarily a low-speed affair. The driver had no license and was scared, according to police.

INDOT traffic cameras picked up the end of the chase near the Southport Road exit just after 9 p.m. In the footage, multiple units are seen pursuing the car, which eventually veers toward a wall and stops.
