INDIANAPOLIS — A 17-year-old girl was arrested after a stabbing incident on the east side of Indianapolis.
According to a public police report, officers were called to 590 Eustis Drive just after 3 p.m. to investigate a stabbing. IMPD’s report on the incident indicates a victim, whose age was not specified in the report, was found at the scene.
The 17-year-old was not named in the report. She was, however, arrested for domestic battery with a deadly weapon and battery by means of a deadly weapon. Both of the preliminary charges the juvenile faces are Level 5 Felonies.
The maximum penalty for a Level 5 Felony in Indiana is a six-year prison sentence and a fine of up to $10,000.
As of this article’s publication, the condition of the victim is unknown. It is also unclear whether or not the 17-year-old girl will be officially charged as an adult.
