INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police arrested a 14-year-old accused of stealing a car Sunday and crashing it.
According to IMPD, the incident was reported around 9:50 a.m. It involved a 2016 Hyundai Elantra stolen from a residence.

Police arrested the juvenile after a crash near East 30 th Street and Fall Creek on the near north side.
The police report indicated the 14-year-old faces preliminary charges of auto theft with a prior conviction, a Level 5 felony, and driving without a license, a class C misdemeanor.
The juvenile was taken to an area hospital for a check, police said. The case remains under investigation.
