Haliburton Cuts Hot Promo on WWE

Indiana Pacers’ Tyrese Halliburton may not have played the Orlando Magic in the playoffs, but he indeed made enemies after his recent WWE appearance. During a WWE NXT event last Tuesday, Haliburton dropped a “promo” that included dissing Magic fans as Orlando hosted the show. Thankfully, for Haliburton’s sake, he brought some backup to protect him from the crowd and wrestlers.

“I would boo too if I had to be an Orlando Magic fan,” Haliburton said.

The crowd jeered Haliburton after he announced the presence of his Pacers teammates, or as he called them, “reinforcements.” Myles Turner was one of Haliburton’s teammates who went along for the ride.

Although Turner isn’t the same rim protector as in previous seasons, he’s undoubtedly considered an enforcer in most crowds—moreover, even the smallest Pacer towers over the average-sized person.

Although he made for a fun promo, his appearance on NXT wasn’t his WWE debut. Haliburton once appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw with New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson in a segment that involved a steel chair and brass knuckles. Thankfully, neither was swung on each other for their respective NBA teams.
